Cleanroom Stainless Steel & Chemical-Resistant Equipment

Cleanroom stainless steel and chemical-resistant equipment covers three groups used in clean areas and wet-process sites: stainless steel worktables, carts, shelving and storage cabinets; PP fume hoods, chemical cabinets and cleaning machines; and laboratory benches in several materials. Stainless steel suits general clean areas because it is easy to clean and withstands knocks; where hydrofluoric, hydrochloric or nitric acid is present, PP is used instead so the equipment does not corrode through.

Cleanroom stainless steel equipment covers the cabinets, worktables, carts and racks used inside clean areas, built from fully welded stainless steel with polished surfaces and no dead corners, so they neither shed nor collect dust and can be wiped and disinfected repeatedly.

Products include cleanroom worktables and computer stands, shelving, stainless steel storage cabinets, cleanroom carts, gas cylinder carts and cylinder restraint racks, stainless steel emergency shower and eyewash stations, and custom stainless steel fabrication made to site dimensions. The design priority is joints without open tube ends or hard-to-clean gaps; shelving uses perforated or wire shelves so air can pass and no dust-collecting dead zone forms underneath; carts use dedicated low-particle casters.

PP corrosion-resistant equipment is built from seamlessly welded polypropylene (PP) sheet with no metal parts exposed to acid fumes, for wet-process environments with hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and nitric acid that quickly rust through stainless steel, and without carrying metal ions into cleaning solutions to contaminate parts.

Products include PP fume hoods (bench-top and floor-standing), PP corrosive chemical storage cabinets, CDS chemical dispense systems, silicon wafer etching and cleaning machines and PP manual cleaning machines, PP racking / worktables / cleaning baskets, PP acid-resistant carts and furnace tube and quartz carts, and furnace tube and quartz storage cabinets and PP nitrogen cabinets. Equipment size, tanks and configuration can be made to suit the process and parts.

Laboratory benches come in four materials, steel-wood, all-steel, stainless steel and PP, chosen according to the chemicals used in the lab, cleaning and disinfection needs, and budget.

Steel-wood benches carry load on a steel frame with wooden cabinets for storage and are the most common configuration; all-steel benches have no wooden parts and do not swell with moisture; stainless steel benches have non-absorbent surfaces that can be disinfected repeatedly, suiting aseptic work and biological and food testing; PP benches are welded in one piece from strong acid- and alkali-resistant PP sheet, suiting corrosive chemicals and trace analysis that is sensitive to metal ions. The steel parts of steel-wood and all-steel benches go through a 7-step pretreatment followed by epoxy powder coating; stainless steel and PP benches resist corrosion through the material itself and need no coating. Worktops can be solid phenolic resin, epoxy resin, ceramic, stainless steel or PP.
