Cleanroom Stainless Steel Equipment
Gas Cylinder Restraint Rack
Product Overview
A cylinder restraint rack secures cylinders against a wall or beside equipment so that earthquakes, impacts or accidental contact cannot tip them over. Regulators and insurance audits both check for it, and it is the most basic safety fitting of a gas supply area.
The base is a 3mm stainless steel panel, the frame is welded from 50×50 stainless square tube, and restraint is by a 6mm stainless chain ring. Sheet-steel versions are formed from 2mm plate.

Detailed Description
Set the restraint ring on the upper third of the cylinder
The height of the restraint ring determines how well it works. Fitted too low, the upper part of the cylinder still swings freely, and in an earthquake the fixing point becomes a pivot that accelerates the fall. The correct position is the upper third of the body, above the centre of gravity. A single ring is the bare minimum; in high-seismic areas or with high-value gases, fit one high and one low. Also confirm **that the rack itself is anchored to the structure**. A rack simply standing against a wall without expansion bolts merely ties several cylinders into one heavier group that falls together.Selection References
