Cleanroom Worktable

Product Overview

A cleanroom worktable is where operators spend a whole shift, so its structural requirements differ from ordinary benches: leg and rail joints must not leave open tube ends, there must be no grooves under the top that resist wiping, and cabling for shelves and lights has to run inside the tube. Configurations follow the task — inspection, assembly, line supervision. Worktop material can be stainless steel, marble for measurement work that needs flatness, or an antistatic panel.

Detailed Description

Choosing the worktop material

**Stainless steel** is the default: durable, chemically resistant and easy to clean. It is hard and reflective, which tires the eyes during long visual inspection. **Marble** offers the best flatness and suits measurement and calibration work needing a reference surface, but it is heavy, costly and not acid-resistant. **Antistatic panel** is for electronic assembly with ESD requirements; its surface resistance has to be measured periodically because the conductive layer degrades with use. The factor most often overlooked at selection is **worktop height**. The right height differs considerably between standing and seated work, and mixing them along one line shows up directly in fatigue and defect rates.
