PP Furnace Tube and Quartz Storage, Nitrogen Cabinet and Cleaner

Product Overview

Furnace tubes and quartzware are among the most expensive and most fragile consumables in semiconductor processing, and both storage and cleaning need dedicated equipment. PP storage cabinets provide compartmented, impact-protected shelving; PP nitrogen cabinets store the same parts under nitrogen to prevent moisture pick-up and oxidation. The PP single-tank manual cleaner handles acid cleaning of quartzware, with tank dimensions made to the tube length. The three are frequently specified together: quartzware goes straight from cleaning into the nitrogen cabinet to await use.

Detailed Description

Why quartzware goes into a nitrogen cabinet after cleaning

Acid-cleaned quartz has an extremely clean and therefore extremely active surface: exposed to ordinary air it rapidly adsorbs moisture and organics, and within hours the benefit of the clean has been eroded. A nitrogen cabinet displaces oxygen and moisture so the part stays as it was when cleaning finished, right up to the moment it goes on the tool. That interval between cleaning and use often decides whether the effort put into cleaning is actually realised. **The cabinet is PP rather than stainless steel** because quartzware coming out of an acid bath may still carry residual acid, which would progressively attack the inner walls of a stainless cabinet.
