Double-deck Blow Pass Box

Product Overview

A double-deck blow pass box stacks two transfer chambers in one enclosure with shared controls. The upper and lower chambers can carry different batches or different directions of travel, doubling transfer capacity within the same wall opening width. A HEPA filter and nozzles in the top sweep incoming items with clean air before they pass through. Both doors remain interlocked, and the two chambers operate independently, so using one does not affect the airlock state of the other.

Detailed Description

When a double deck is worth it

The value of the double deck is that **the width of a wall opening is fixed**. Once cleanroom partitions are built, how wide a hole can be cut is limited by structure and existing services, so there is often no lateral room to expand transfer capacity. Stacking is the only way to double it within the same width. The other common use is **segregation**: the upper chamber for incoming material and the lower for returns or waste. Physical separation removes any chance of batch mix-up, which matters particularly for material flow control in pharmaceutical plants. It is not worth choosing a double deck merely for extra volume — the added height puts the upper chamber at an awkward working level, which makes handling heavy items less safe rather than more convenient.
