PP Furnace Tube and Quartz Cart

Product Overview

Furnace tubes and quartzware are long, heavy and brittle; moving them on an ordinary cart subjects them to vibration that alone can seed hairline cracks. The PP furnace tube cart is welded entirely in PP, with cradles curved to the tube diameter so that weight is distributed along the body instead of concentrating on two points. Photoresist carts and two-tier bench configurations are also available for material movement between the yellow-light area and wet process.

Detailed Description

What the curved cradle solves is stress concentration

Rested on a flat deck, a quartz tube touches along just two lines, and the whole weight of the tube bears on them. Add the vibration of being wheeled along and that is where hairline cracks begin — invisible on inspection, they break once the tube heats up in the furnace, and what is lost then is not only the tube but the whole furnace load. A curved cradle lets the tube seat along the arc, turning line contact into area contact and spreading the stress. The cradle is PP as well, so no hard contact point creates a local crush. **Travel speed belongs in the work instruction too**: no cradle can absorb the inertial shock of a sudden stop.
