회전문형 에어샤워는 기존의 여닫이문 대신 네 날개 회전문을 씁니다. 인원이 문을 밀고 들어가 한 칸 돌아서 나오는 동안 문은 어느 각도에서든 최소 한 장의 날개가 통로를 막고 있으므로, 양쪽이 동시에 열리는 순간이 존재하지 않습니다. 에어록이 인터록 회로가 아니라 기하 구조로 보장되는 셈입니다. 인원 흐름이 끊이지 않고 대기가 생기지 않기를 바라는 입구에 적합합니다. 회전하는 과정 자체가 송풍 시간이므로 인원이 멈춰 서서 문이 열리기를 기다릴 필요가 없어 여닫이문보다 통행 리듬이 매끄럽습니다.

Structure instead of interlock

A conventional air shower relies on an electrical interlock to keep both doors from opening together; if that interlock fails or is bypassed, the airlock is gone. A revolving door turns the problem into a geometric one: whatever angle the four-leaf door sits at, at least one leaf lies across the passage, so a straight path physically cannot exist. The trade-offs are that throughput is limited by rotation speed, and that bulky material cannot pass — the sector-shaped space will not take a pallet or a trolley. Entrances that also handle goods need a separate cargo shower tunnel.
